Draft code changes for FY 2012
Attached is CMS Transmittal 2246, which lists pending new, revised, and discontinued ICD-9-CM diagnosis codes for fiscal year (FY) 2012. CMS lists coding changes its web site on an annual basis. CDI specialists may wish to familiarize themselves with the changes prior to issuance of the Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) Final Rule notice.
