CCDS update: Update your contact info with the CCDS office

CDI Strategies - Volume 12, Issue 3

Did you know the CCDS database is totally separated from the ACDIS membership database? Though you may ask CCDS Coordinator Penny Richards your questions about ACDIS membership and all things CCDS, the two databases storing your contact information are separate and don’t communicate with one another.

This means that, even if you updated your contact info with ACDIS customer service, those changes did not automatically show up in the CCDS database. ACDIS sends out multiple emails reminders about your CCDS expiration date, but only to the email listed in the CCDS database. If that email isn’t up-to-date, you may risk entering the “inactive” (those who surpass the 45-day wait period) or even “expired” (those who are one year past their due date) categories.

To ensure you receive all the important news about your CCDS certification, make sure you inform Richards (prichards@acdis.org) of any contact information changes. You can also email her to verify that your contact information is correct or to ask about your CCDS recertification due date. Remember, it’s your responsibility to know the status of your certification.
