Physician Advisors

The role of the physician advisor to CDI is constantly evolving. Primary responsibilities, team size, and reporting structure vary from one organization to the next. Some organizations have very mature physician advisor programs while others are just getting theirs off the ground. However, the goal at every facility remains the same: ensuring documentation integrity.

The Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS) is committed to partnering with leading physician advisors to provide thought leadership, best practices, and resources. ACDIS’ growing library for physician advisors includes reports, journal articles, and a forthcoming white paper from our ACDIS Physician Advisor Committee. Networking opportunities include our annual ACDIS Physician Advisor Forum, Mastermind group, and exclusive Physician Advisor Exchange. Questions? Email ACDIS Editor & Product Coordinator Karla Kozak at karla.kozak@hcpro.com.
