ACDIS update: 2018 CDI Week committee sought

Each year, ACDIS sponsors CDI Week during the third week in September with the aim of:

• Recognizing the unique skills and expertise of CDI specialists
• Increase public awareness of the CDI profession
• Positively affect the personal and organizational performance of CDI specialists
• Provide broader education on the importance of the quality connection of documentation of care

This year CDI Week takes place September 17-21. Though that may feel like eons away, the ACDIS team is already hard at work thinking up this year’s festivities. And, we need your help.

In addition to the efforts of the core ACDIS team, a group of volunteers from the ACDIS membership work hard for months on end to make the week memorable for all CDI professionals by:

• Helping develop a unique theme for the week
• Brainstorming activities and resources to help people celebrate
• Participating in Q&As related to the annual CDI Industry Survey results

If you’re interested in serving on this committee, please email ACDIS Editor Linnea Archibald (larchibald@acdis.org). Committee members will be expected to participate on monthly conference calls leading up to the celebration and aid in the duties outlined above.
