ACDIS update: The 2024 CDI Week theme is here, plus take the Industry Survey!

Preparations for the best time of year at ACDIS are underway and they are out of this world! Each year, CDI Week gives the association, the CDI community, and the greater healthcare industry a chance to recognize all the impact that professionals in the clinical documentation integrity field make. Make sure to mark your calendars for September 16-20, and start your own preparations in accordance with this year’s theme:

CDI in orbit: Infinite opportunities!

This year we wanted to highlight how much endless opportunity there is in the CDI profession, and how you can “reach for the stars,” so to speak, when it comes to focus areas, collaboration, and career path, just as there is no limit to space exploration. We’re over the moon to show you the official 2024 CDI Week poster in line with this theme, available for download today!

An important part of our celebrations each year includes providing the CDI community with the most up-to-date insight into the industry, and that’s where the CDI Week Industry Survey comes in. You have the chance to contribute your voice as we take the pulse of the industry from now until Friday, July 19! This year we’re gathering data on the following hot topics:

• Provider engagement
• Query metrics & technology
• Denial trends & CDI involvement
• Risk adjustment
• Unconventional settings

Insight gleaned on these topics relies entirely on the responses we receive from CDI professionals like you. Whether you are a CDI specialist, educator, leader, physician advisor, HIM professional, or otherwise, we appreciate the input of the CDI community, no matter your position or level of experience. Your thoughts and contributions will help us more accurately take the industry’s pulse and reflect the true state of CDI.

The full results of the survey, along with expert commentary, will be published during CDI Week this September and made available for ACDIS members and non-members alike!
