ACDIS update: ACDIS PRO updates when you need them
ACDIS PRO is an online, customizable tool that includes all the valuable information you’ve come to rely on in the ACDIS Pocket Guides—now available on your computer, tablet, or mobile device. What’s more, because ACDIS PRO is an online platform, there’s no need to wait for the Pocket Guides to publish each year to receive critical updates. Instead, ACDIS PRO is updated on a regular basis with added conditions and new guidance that reflect changing standards.
In the latest round of updates to the inpatient version of ACDIS PRO, we added the following new clinical conditions:
- MDC 10: Endocrine, Nutritional & Metabolic—Lactic Acidosis
- MDC 5: Circulatory System—Pulmonary embolism
We also updated the following conditions to include the American Hospital Association’s Coding Clinic, first quarter 2021 guidance:
- MDC 9: Skin, Subcutaneous Tissue & Breast—Chronic Skin Ulcers
- MDC 19: Mental Diseases & Disorders—Major Depressive Disorder
- MDC 1: Nervous System—Encephalopathy
- MDC 16: Blood & Blood-Forming Organs—Immunodeficiency
- MDC 7: Hepatobiliary System & Pancreas—Acute Liver [Hepatic] Failure
Additionally, with the release of new COVID-19-related guidance, we updated the following:
- MDC 18: Infectious & Parasitic Diseases—Coronavirus Disease 2019 [COVID-19]
- MDC 4: Respiratory System—Pneumonia
- Pediatrics: Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children [MIS-C]/Pediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome [PMIS or PIMS]
