ACDIS update: Board, committee applications extended till February 10!

CDI Strategies - Volume 19, Issue 6

Did January get away from you, or you simply missed the news that our ACDIS Advisory Board and Resource Library Committee were open for applications? To make sure enough people have the chance, we’re extending the deadline to submit your application until Monday, February 10!

The ACDIS Advisory Board provides collective leadership, expertise, and written guidance for the ACDIS membership and the broader CDI profession through individual work on specific projects (e.g., joint authorship of white papers and position papers), group discussion, and oversight and review of the work of sub-committees and conference presenters. To apply for the ACDIS Advisory Board, here are the requirements and information you’ll need:

  • ACDIS membership
  • A CCDS or CCDS-O credential
  • At least five years of CDI experience
  • The names, email addresses, and phone numbers of two colleagues as references
  • An explanation of your interest in serving on the board
  • A copy of your resume or CV
  • Permission from your direct manager/supervisor to participate and travel to a face-to-face annual board meeting on the day prior to the ACDIS annual conference

ACDIS Advisory Board candidates are subject to a vote by the ACDIS membership in spring 2025. This year, we are looking to fill two vacancies:

  • One for a CDI professional from a HIM background
  • One for a CDI professional from a clinical background

The Resource Library Committee is also open a bit longer for applications! This committee reviews materials donated to the ACDIS community for publication in the Resource Library for accuracy, compliance, relevance, and effectiveness.

ACDIS committees and volunteer board provide the CDI community a chance to give back to your professional community, make meaningful connections, and promote needed change. If you’re ready to get more involved, click here to fill out the application!
