ACDIS update: Last chance to respond to the 2021 CDI Salary Survey!

CDI Strategies - Volume 15, Issue 48

Early results from the 2021 CDI Salary Survey show signs that the CDI industry is rebounding from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic that shrunk healthcare operating budgets. The early results show that nearly 35% of CDI professionals make $80,000 to $99,999 annually, dropping roughly 2% from 2020. The next salary bracket, however—$100,000 to $109,999—jumped by roughly 4%, according to early results. Additionally, 52% of respondents say they plan to hire in the next 12 months, compared to 36.5% in 2020, and 79% say they’ve received a raise in the last year, compared to 65% who said the same in 2020.

While these results indicate CDI programs are recovering and advancing, we want to hear from more CDI professionals to get the best possible view of the industry possible. The survey closes at 11:59 p.m. eastern on Sunday, October 31, and results will be shared with the ACDIS membership in early 2022.

Survey answers will remain anonymous, and the results will be shared in aggregate, so please know that we take your privacy on this sensitive topic very seriously.
