CCDS update: ACDIS CEUs offered for CMS MLN training sessions

Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) credentialed holders who take part in Medicare Learning Network (MLN) educational sessions conducted by CMS can now submit for CCDS CEUs for those activities.
ACDIS awards CEUs based on the length of the MLN training as follows:
- Less than 30 minutes: 0.5 credits
- 30-60 minutes: 1.0 credit
- 60-90 minutes: 1.5 credits
- 90-120 minutes: 2.0 credits
When submitting CEUs obtained from MLN training, CCDS holders should provide:
- A copy of their certificate of completion/participation, or documentation of the contact hours spent in the training
- Corresponding index number for the training length (found on the MLN website)
