Conference corner: Use this justification letter to get administrative support for the 2025 conference!

CDI Strategies - Volume 19, Issue 8

It’s great to have means to fund your own costs for the 2025 ACDIS conference, but we know that isn’t the reality for everyone. If you’re hoping to obtain financial support for all the CDI education, networking, and inspiration available at this year’s event but are unsure of how to ask your organizational leadership, feel free to adapt and use this justification letter as your proposal!

To make the letter persuasive, we recommend adding details about your specific reasons and organization-specific information. The more personal and tailored your request, the better your chances will be to earn support for attendance. You might identify areas that your team is struggling with and/or priorities for your CDI department in the upcoming year and how education from the national conference will help.

It's also beneficial to leverage any data relative to these priorities that can demonstrate the importance of obtaining additional education. For example, if your program is looking to help with denials, you might note the number of sessions from the 2025 agenda addressing that topic. Similarly, if your program is looking to expand into quality, identify the sessions that might pertain to your practice and do a search of the ACDIS website for related articles and data on that concern to provide additional details for your management team.

Plus, between now and March 3, ACDIS is offering a $100 off early bird rate, so this can be something to mention if you send in your letter soon! Additionally, ACDIS members automatically save another $100 on their registration, so if you’re looking to become a member, now is the time!
