Local chapter update: Find volunteers and speakers for chapter events with your roster

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 29

Local chapter registration provides many benefits for its members, including opportunities for education and networking as well as discounts off a new national membership. But local chapter leaders can benefit from this resource far more than they might realize.

Local chapter leaders no longer need to worry about burdensome roster maintenance on their own. Instead, they can simply remind their chapters to complete the roster form again whenever contact information needs to be updated. Even more importantly, the form answers three questions for leaders as they plan both meetings and leadership transitions:

  • Are you willing to present at a local chapter meeting?
  • Are you willing to host chapter meetings at your facility?
  • Are you interested in serving in an officer/leadership role?

Leaders can best take advantage of this information by reminding chapter members and requesting an updated roster from the national ACDIS team on a regular basis. It’s also important to reach out promptly to those who responded ‘yes’ to any of the questions above for confirmation and further details. Connecting with new members can also show you value their interest and help connect them with their local CDI community quickly.
