Local chapter update: Using the online membership roster

CDI Strategies - Volume 15, Issue 18

According to the ACDIS Local Chapter Agreement Form, chapter leadership needs to ask members to complete the online membership roster on a quarterly basis. This is the official roster which allows leaders to collect important information including whether the local chapter member is:

  • An ACDIS member
  • Interested in speaking at a local event (and the topic)
  • Available to host an event at their facility
  • Interested in volunteering to help leadership

Upon competition of the online membership roster, registrants receive a unique discount code for national membership and information on how to redeem that discount.

The online membership roster can also be used as a registration tool. Simply include the link to the roster in any promotional materials or emails to members instructing them that in order to register to attend the upcoming event they need to complete the roster by the end of business on the deadline day. Then, ask ACDIS national to pull the roster and sort by the applicable date range (from the initial date of your meeting announcement to the deadline date).

Working outside the ACDIS-approved online membership roster (i.e. Google Sheets, Google Drive, etc.) may mean additional work for one of your volunteer leadership team members as such a list will need to be maintained and regularly updated as participants change jobs or contact information. Using the ACDIS-approved online membership roster puts the responsibility on the chapter members (and not on the volunteer leadership team) to update their information regularly.

Local chapter leaders can request their roster at any time from national by simply emailing and Carolyn Riel, criel@acdis.org. Turnaround time is typically 24-48 hours.
