Membership Update: 2018 ACDIS conference committee sneak peek

CDI Strategies - Volume 11, Issue 35

It’s hard to believe that the 10th annual ACDIS national conference is already but a mere memory—memories cherished and employed. Nevertheless, planning for the 2018 event is already underway. The call for Conference Committee volunteers went out in July and more than 100 ACDIS members answered the call. The committee consists of more than a dozen individuals from various backgrounds, experience levels, and expertise. They are a wonderful group of people and the ACDIS staff encourages members to learn more about them. They’ve shared their photographs and some interesting tid-bits about their personal and professional experience on the Boards and Committees page of the ACDIS website.

Over the past few weeks they’ve already met three times to discuss the scope of expectations that volunteering for this committee entails. It isn’t easy. There are multiple meetings over the summer to establish the educational tracks and high-priority educational sessions.

Soon the call for speaker proposals will be announced, likely within the next week or so, and once the proposal period closes in mid-September, they’ll meet regularly to discuss the merits of the proposals and work on their own time to read and research those suggestions to ensure the 2018 conference attendees enjoy the best educational experience possible.

The Conference Committee is excited to sift through your speaker proposals and presentation ideas, so start thinking about what it might take to get your team up on the ACDIS stage.
