News: AHRQ includes information on inpatient stays in Fast Facts

Looking for more data on inpatient stays? The Agency for Healthcare Quality (AHRQ) added information on inpatient stays in its HCUP Fast Facts. The data now includes information on trends in inpatient stays, most common diagnoses, and operations for inpatient stays.

The new information includes national inpatient, pediatric inpatient, and state inpatient databases. The site also houses free tools and software, such as clinical classifications for ICD-10 and chronic condition indicators for ICD-10.

The program, which was first launched in July 2015 as part of the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP), offers visual statistical displays in stand-alone graphs, trend figures, or simple tables to help healthcare professionals decipher complex information quickly.
