News: Performant approved to begin auditing for Region 1

CMS approved Performant, the Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) for Region 1, to begin review activity as of Friday, March 10, according to the RAC Monitor.
Region 1 includes Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York. CMS also positioned Performant over Region 5, but those audits have not yet begun.
