Note from the ACDIS Editor: CDI Week 2017 celebrations right around the corner

CDI Strategies - Volume 11, Issue 40

By Linnea Archibald

It seems like we’ve been waiting and planning forever, but CDI Week 2017 is just around the corner. This year’s festivities officially take place September 18-22, but we know CDI specialists have been planning for much longer than that—and, for that matter, so has the ACDIS team.

To help you celebrate, here’s a few things you can expect from ACDIS during the week:

  • A full report on our 38-question annual CDI Industry Overview Survey, including comments from our 2017 CDI Week advisor, Angie Curry, RN, BSN, CCDS, and our three CDI Week sponsors
  • Daily Q&As with our 2017 CDI Week Planning Committee members relating to the topics covered by the Industry Survey
  • Daily discounts on ACDIS/HCPro products
  • A free, 1-hour webinar on the topic of clinical validation on Friday with our Boot Camp instructors, Laurie Prescott, RN, MSN, CCDS, CDIP, CRC, and Allen Frady, RN, BSN, CCDS, CCS, CRC
  • CDI Week themed merchandise
  • Free printable materials, such as posters, crossword puzzles, activity suggestions, and a fact sheet
  • Giveaways through our Facebook pages—make sure to follow!

So, where can you get your hands on these resources? The ACDIS CDI Week webpages are your one-stop-shop—now with a brand-new design. Head on over and check it out.

ACDIS would love to see and hear how you are celebrating. If you have any pictures to share, please send them to me with a caption including the names of those pictured and I’ll share them with the ACDIS community.

We’re so excited to celebrate the seventh annual CDI Week with you in just a few days—so let’s get on the trail and explore “The Wild West: New Frontiers in CDI!
