Note from the Director of Programming: Share your outpatient knowledge with the CDI community

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 26

by Rebecca Hendren

The heart of the CDI profession is education, and many CDI professionals are born teachers who are eager to share their knowledge while educating others, whether that’s teaching providers or lifting up fellow CDI specialists. To do so on a wider stage, consider speaking at one of ACDIS’s educational events, which are the perfect places to share your knowledge while boosting your own professional development skills and receiving national recognition.

The 2023 ACDIS National Conference call for speakers is now open, but did you know we’re especially looking for outpatient CDI professionals, as we have an educational event this year that provides another national stage to share your knowledge?

ACDIS Online: CDI Symposium for Outpatient Efforts is a three-day virtual conference to be held December 6–8, 2022, that will focus on outpatient CDI issues and concerns. The speaker application period is open now, and you can apply using the same Call for Speakers link as for the national program.

To apply to speak at either event, click here and fill out the form by August 19. Select the outpatient track option, and we’ll follow up once the survey closes to determine best fit.

The virtual educational event is designed both for those who are new to outpatient CDI and those who have been on the journey for a while and are looking for information on how to progress to the next level.  We’re looking for people who can talk about best practices for getting started in outpatient CDI as well as those who can share information for experienced programs, such as which metrics to focus on and strategies for improvement.

As always, speakers receive free admission to the virtual conference, so you can learn from your peers while you teach others.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at rhendren@acdis.org. You can apply to speak here.
