Note from the Product Coordinator: ACDIS posters return next week

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 17

by Karla Accorto

It’s hard to believe that as I sit here writing this, the ACDIS conference is less than a week away! To say we are excited here at the national office is an understatement. In partnership with our incredible events planning team, we have spent over a year preparing for this conference, and we can’t wait to be reunited with so many of you as we watch all our planning come to fruition.

This year, I am especially excited for the return of ACDIS poster presentations. For the first time since 2019, we will once again be hosting posters in the exhibit hall. At approximately three feet high by four feet wide, these massive pieces of paper detail an innovative project, newly established protocol, or successful educational outreach by an individual or organization.

Posters will be available for viewing throughout Tuesday, May 3, and Wednesday, May 4. Additionally, we invite all attendees to chat with poster presenters in the exhibit hall during the first networking break on Wednesday. Posters will be located near the ACDIS booth, although please note that presenters may not be available to answer questions outside of the dedicated viewing time.

Topics this year include cerebral edema, sepsis, artificial intelligence, remote work, social determinants of health, risk adjustment, and so much more. Poster presenters this year have earned credentials including CCDS, CCDS-O, DO, JD, LCSW, MBA, MD, MSN, and RN. They also hail from organizations across the country, including Advent Health, Kettering Health, and Duke University Health System, to name a few. It is a very impressive group, and I’m thrilled they get to be the ones to bring posters back to the ACDIS conference.

Lastly, as a reminder, the ACDIS national office will be closed the week of May 2 while we attend the conference. The office will reopen on Monday, May 9. We look forward to seeing many of you in Orlando!
