Radio Update: Join ACDIS instructors Nov. 2 for roundtable discussion

CDI Strategies - Volume 10, Issue 45

Tune into Nov. 2 ACDIS Radio for a special episode: CDI controversies: Instructors’ tales from the classroom.

The Wednesday, Nov. 2 edition of ACDIS Radio features all three ACDIS CDI instructors together in the studio: Laurie Prescott, MSN, RN, CCDS, CDIP, CRC, Sharme Brodie, RN, CCDS, and Allen Frady, RN, BSN, CCDS, CCS, join ACDIS director Brian Murphy for CDI controversies: Instructors’ tales from the classroom.

ACDIS boot camps are 3 or 4 full-day intensive classroom training for CDI specialists and HIM professionals. Our three major classes are our CDI boot camp, our CDI for Quality boot camp, and our Documentation and Coding for Risk Adjustment boot camp. These classes are not static, but are constantly changing to include the latest regulations and coding guidelines updates. Some of the best learning occurs with the discussions our instructors have with students in class.

Wednesday’s show will cover three hot topics that have been a recent source of classroom discussion: The use of the term “with,” clinical validation, and what constitutes a reportable diagnosis as updated in the 2017 Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting. Tune in to listen to the latest “controversies in the classroom.”
