2014 Conference, Track 6: Multi-Facility Management: Using Data to Drive Improvement

Nancy Rae Ignatowicz, RN, BS, MBA, CCDS explains how one hospital system chooses specific CDI  data, to present depending on the specific audience (administrators, providers, etc.), and used it to obtain the resources and support needed to drive improvement. This presentation will include audience
polling questions to quantify the types of reporting that participants perform at their facilities and present ways to show how CDI affects quality. The learner will be able to explain how data can be used differently  across multiple facilities, including urban academic versus rural nonacademic centers; the departmental level; the physician specialty level; and the individual provider level.
