ACDIS update: Networking breaks offer time for connection during virtual event

CDI Strategies - Volume 14, Issue 19

If you’ve had a chance to look at the agenda for “Staying Engaged: ACDIS Presents Virtual Education & Community,” then you’ve likely noticed a few networking breaks dotted around the schedule. The virtual event will take place June 17-19 and feature a selection of sessions initially slotted for the 13th annual ACDIS conference that was initially scheduled for this week. While we’re still working on getting the live event rescheduled for later this year, we didn’t want to wait till then to spend time with the CDI community.

Though providing educational sessions and the CEUs that go along with them is a valuable aim for the event, we also wanted to give our attendees a way to connect, network, and bounce ideas off one another. That’s why we’ve sprinkled in networking breaks just like we would have at the live in-person event.

Since we can’t physically be together during this time of COVID-19, our networking will happen in an app much like the ACDIS conference app attendees are already familiar with. While there will certainly be time to bounce ideas off each other and hear how other attendees are meeting the pandemic, we also have some old fashioned ACDIS fun in the works, including a scavenger hunt, live trivia, a networking gala, and virtual purple and orange and state chapter pride days.

As a special bonus for our early registrants, we’re also offering a free post-conference virtual leadership training opportunity for the first 40 registrants.
