ACDIS update: New sample clinical definitions posted

The ACDIS Forms & Tools Committee regularly reviews submissions of items such as sample query templates, job descriptions, and audit tools for compliance and usability. If the committee finds the items to meet all criteria and believes they will be useful to other CDI professionals, they will be posted under the resources section of the ACDIS website.

Recently, the Forms & Tools Committee has posted a slew of new sample clinical definition examples for use. The clinical definition samples include:

• Heart failure
• EVALI
• Chronic kidney disease
• Blood loss anemia
• Acute tabular necrosis
• Acute kidney injury

All of the samples have been reviewed and approved by the Forms & Tools Library Committee. The committee recommends that, should you choose to use this samples, you adapt it to your particular programmatic needs, policies, and procedures.
