ACDIS update: New sample queries, appeal letters added to Resource Library
The ACDIS Forms & Tools Library Committee recently approved four new samples for publication in the ACDIS Resource Library. Additionally, the committee has included suggestions with each sample for those adapting these resources. Here’s what’s new in the Library:
- Eight sample queries donated by Erica Braun, MS, BSN, RN, CCDS, manager of inpatient coding and CDI at Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha:
- Seven sample queries donated by Jera Van Damme, BSN, RN, CCDS, senior clinical documentation educator at Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota:
- Two sample appeal letters donated by Van Damme:
While these samples aren’t a one-size-fits-all solution for all CDI programs everywhere, samples such as these in the Resource section of the website can be a starting point for developing your own forms, tools, policies, and procedures.
