ACDIS update: Share the 2022 CDI Week fact sheet with your organization
With each passing week, ACDIS is gearing up for the annual celebrations planned during CDI Week, and we want to help you start as well. Considering much of what a CDI professional does goes under the radar, you can begin preparations by spreading information on what CDI work is all about! Our 2022 CDI Week fact sheet provides the answers. This handout can be given to any person or department, or even circulated through facilities and health systems, whether by physical copies or attached in your organization-wide newsletter. However you share it, the fact sheet is here to start the conversation and reveal all that CDI work entails.
Included in this single-page fact sheet, ACDIS provides succinct answers to the following questions:
- What is a clinical documentation integrity (CDI) specialist?
- Who are CDI specialists?
- Why is the CDI specialist role emerging?
- Why is a week of national recognition needed?
- When will the national recognition week take place?
- How was the national recognition week developed?
- What resources can I access and where?
The goal of this document is to start the conversation and help those who know little to nothing about the CDI profession get a clear picture. It also provides a good gateway for spreading the news about CDI Week and getting further support from your organization. Considering this year’s theme is “Under the Sea-DI,” this is a great opportunity for facilities to recognize all the CDI work going on beneath the surface.
Though there is still some time before September 12-16 and our week of celebrations, you can take advantage of this resource now—and if you haven’t yet, download our 2022 poster as well!
