ACDIS update: Share your advice and expertise on outpatient efforts

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 29

CDI efforts in the outpatient setting have become more and more talked about over the last decade, but further education on this subject is still in high demand. Expanding documentation integrity efforts to the wide variety of settings outside hospital walls requires a variety of expertise—not to mention the unique policies and procedures, CDI staffing structures, and query processes that look different for outpatient CDI work.

That is why, for our ACDIS Online: CDI Symposium for Outpatient Efforts three-day virtual conference, held December 6-8, 2022, we’re looking for outpatient CDI professionals to share their knowledge. The application to be a speaker on outpatient CDI issues and concerns is open now! You can apply to speak by selecting the outpatient track option on the speaker application form, which is accepting applications until August 19. Please note that the same application will be used to select speakers for our 2023 ACDIS national conference.

This virtual education event is meant to help both those experienced in outpatient CDI wanting to progress to the next level and those who are just starting their journey! People who can talk about either of these topics, as well as share their best advice on which metrics and strategies for improvement to focus on, are highly encouraged to apply.

Plus, those who are chosen to speak will receive free admission to the rest of the virtual conference and get the chance to learn from their peers as well! Have questions? Feel free to reach out to ACDIS Director of Programming Rebecca Hendren at rhendren@acdis.org.
