Certification update: New online process for applications, recertifications launched
ACDIS new online certification processes began in September. No more paper applications, faxes, or scans, or emails. No more paper checks. You can apply to sit for the exam (either the Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist [CCDS] or the CCDS-Outpatient [CCDS-O]) via the new online, automated system.
Once you’ve submitted your CCDS or CCDS-O application, PSI/AMP (our exam administration partner) will send scheduling instructions to you. You’ll have three months/90 days from the date your name is submitted to the exam company to schedule and take your exam.
Those needing to recertify can also log in and track their CEUs and, when it comes time to recertify, click into the website and submit your recertification application.
To log into the new certification site, ACDIS members can use their regular ACDIS website login credentials. If you don’t have a member login, please click the “Register” button on the login page.
