The CDI Journal topics for 2027 have been selected and we are thrilled to have you share your expertise with the community!
The 2027 topics, with their associated deadlines, are as follows:
- January/February: Query Practices and Provider Education
- Deadline: December 1, 2026
- March/April: Clinical and Coding
- Deadline: February 1, 2027
- May/June: The Future of CDI
- Deadline: April 1, 2027
- July/August: Professional Development and Program Success
- Deadline: June 1, 2027
- September/October: Denials Prevention and Appeals
- Deadline: August 1, 2027
- November/December: Quality and Risk Adjustment
- Deadline: October 1, 2027
Journal articles tend to be 750-1,500 words long and, while the topic is left to the author, each edition of the Journal does center around a particular theme, and contributors are encouraged to submit articles related to those themes.
Right now, we are accepting submissions for the January/February edition on “Query Practices and Provider Education.” The deadline for article submissions is December 1, 2026.
