Conference corner: National conference speaker deadline extended through August 29!

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 34

The 2023 ACDIS national conference is closer than you think, but for anyone whose busy summer plans got in the way of applying to be a speaker, we’ve extended your chance! Present on whatever your favored CDI subject may be, whether that is staff management, physician engagement, or clinically-focused chart reviews. Those interested can apply now through August 29, 2022. Once the applications close, all proposals will be reviewed by the ACDIS Events Committee and ACDIS staff.

Here’s the basic outline of the application:

  1. Type in your basic info: name, credentials, job title, organization/facility name, city, and state
  2. Include accurate contact information so we can get a hold of you
  3. Enter a proposed session title and a summary or description of the session
  4. Choose which relevant track your session content best matches
    1. Clinical & Coding
    2. CDI Master Class
    3. Quality & Regulatory
    4. Management & Program Development
    5. Outpatient CDI & Expanded Settings
  5. Create and list a set of measurable learning objectives (a minimum of three and maximum of five)
  6. Upload a PowerPoint draft of your proposed presentation or pdfs of supportive materials and videos to highlight their speaking style
  7. Write a marketing bio in paragraph form including your current job title and responsibilities
  8. List your educational background
  9. Read and confirm speaker disclosure with an electronic signature

It can be hard at times to find ways of advancing professional development in the CDI realm, so speaking at one of the largest annual conferences centered on this profession is a big opportunity. On top of that, speakers at the national conference can receive free admission to the entirety of the three-day event (up to two speakers per presentation). If you’re interested but would like further information or clarification, all are welcome to reach out to Director of Programming Rebecca Hendren at rhendren@acdis.org.
