Emphasize the ’clinical’ for quality and engage physicians

The use of coded data for purposes other than reimbursement has shifted dramatically in the past few years. What can we do to make our documentation improvement efforts more meaningful for the hospital and the physician in this changing landscape? The answer is to change the emphasis of our reviews from reimbursement to quality.
