Local chapter update: ACDIS wants to help you advertise your next chapter event

ACDIS national wants to support local chapter events and help your networking group reach new attendees and carry out successful events. The ACDIS leadership team is happy to sit in on your leadership meetings and event planning calls. One of the most everyday ways we can help your chapter succeed, however, is by publicizing your event here in CDI Strategies, on the dedicated chapter pages, and on our social media platforms.

In order to help spread the news, though, chapter leaders need to send the following event details to ACDIS national:

  • Date and time of event
  • Location of event
  • Event contact person
  • RSVP information or event flyers (if applicable)
  • Any other relevant agenda items as desired.

These details should be sent to both Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas and Associate Editor Carolyn Riel. If you’re planning to apply for CCDS/CCDS-O continuing education credits for your event, you can send all the details to us at the same time.

June:

  • The Virginia ACDIS chapter event meets Friday, June 5, via webinar. For information, contact Denice Shelton (denice_shelton@bshsi.org)

July:

  • The St. Louis Missouri ACDIS chapter event slated for Wednesday, April 29, has been postponed until July. For information, contact Pam Bulfer (pamela.bulfer@ssmhealth.com).
  • The Ohio ACDIS chapter meets Friday, July 10, 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Atrium Medical Center Friday. For additional information, contact Brittani Winkler (brittani.winkler@trusthcs.com).
  • The Central Pennsylvania ACDIS chapter meets Friday, July 24, via a Zoom meeting hosted by Penn State Health.  Contact Deanne Wilk dwilk@pennstatehealth.psu.edu for more information.

August:

  • The Arizona ACDIS chapter meets Saturday, August 22, for a half-day event. More details to follow.

September:

  • The CDI educator networking group meets Friday, September 18, for an event titled "New CDI Orientation Process at Banner Health". For more information, contact Coral Fernandez (Coral.Fernandez@BHSI.com).
