Local Chapter Update: California holds second state-wide event

CDI Strategies - Volume 10, Issue 26

It’s 7:30 p.m. and I’m looking out my office window but dreaming of California. On the phone with me are half-a-dozen dedicated CDI specialists, directors, and program managers. They’re putting the final touches on their second annual state-wide event which takes place this Friday, June 17, in San Jose. They have been planning this full-day educational seminar almost since they wrapped up their first event last June. So far, they have more than 150 attendees, nearly a dozen vendors, a happy-hour networking event taking place tonight at a nearby restaurant, and, of course, an amazing line-up of presentations. If you are among the lucky ones heading out for the event tonight, network, learn, and most of all have fun.

Also, yesterday ACDIS CCDS Coordinator Penny Richards and I took over ACDIS Radio with Massachusetts ACDIS Chapter leader and Chapter Advisory Board member Aimee Van Balen. During the program we talked about the work Van Balen and her co-leaders Cathy A. Farraher, Cynthia M. Labins, and Lara Faustino have been doing on behalf of the chapter including creating bylaws, vendor policies, and succession planning. We had a lot of fun and hopefully shared some useful information with nearly 500 audience members. If you missed the call, you can listen to it again on the ACDIS website.
