Local chapter update: Consider a hybrid approach for your events

CDI Strategies - Volume 15, Issue 55

As chapter leaders are looking to start bringing folks back to in-person events, consider taking a hybrid approach to give members the option of coming in person or viewing virtually. This not only allows those far away from a meeting point to still participate, but also gives folks the option to choose the route they feel most safe with.

The North Carolina ACDIS chapter just hosted their December event, which was their first in-person conference since before COVID. Chapter leaders offered a hybrid approach, offering both in-person and virtual options, and were quite successful.

“It was wonderful seeing fellow CDI in person and chatting, networking, sharing ideas,” says North Carolina ACDIS chapter president Sarah Matacale, RN, BSN, CCS, a CDI specialist at Vidant Health in Middlesex, North Carolina. “And we were able to offer the education to those who could not make it in person as well!”

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. Visit your local chapter’s webpage on the ACDIS site for additional information about upcoming meetings. To join a chapter if you haven’t already or to update your chapter contact information/affiliation, click here.
