Local chapter update: Consider incentives to find speakers for upcoming meetings

CDI Strategies - Volume 16, Issue 6

If you’re struggling to find speakers for upcoming local chapter meetings, consider looking within your own membership and offering incentives to those willing to speak.

The Kansas City, Missouri ACDIS chapter offered a previously purchased 2022 ACDIS Pocket Guide to someone who reached out to the leadership wanting to speak at upcoming meetings. Sometimes the extra incentive is a great way to give folks the extra nudge they need to step outside of their comfort zone and present.

You could offer an ACDIS membership, or other ACDIS products for incentives. You could also collect funds to pool together and offer an Amazon or other gift card to someone willing to speak.

If you’re looking for a recent list of your local chapter roster in order to reach out to members about opportunities to speak, reach out to ACDIS Editor Carolyn Riel (criel@acdis.org).

The following is a list of upcoming events for ACDIS local chapters. Visit your local chapter’s webpage on the ACDIS site for additional information about upcoming meetings. To join a chapter if you haven’t already or to update your chapter contact information/affiliation, click here.
