Local chapter update: Education is the gift that keeps on giving

CDI Strategies - Volume 14, Issue 33

ACDIS continues to team up with local chapter leaders to help them provide free educational opportunities for the chapter and networking communities across the country.

Today, ACDIS Associate Editorial Director Melissa Varnavas will host the second in a series of free lunch-and-learn webinars in collaboration with the Massachusetts, Central New York, and Hudson Valley New York ACDIS chapters along with MaHIMA and NYHIMA for the fifth annual New England CDI/Coding Summit. Today's session features Virginia (Ginny) Gleason, CCM, CPHRM, BS, senior manager of advisory services, from nThrive who will present “Importance of Clinical Validation in Denials Management.”

Tomorrow, Varnavas joins ACDIS CDI Education Director Laurie Prescott and the Kentucky ACDIS chapter leadership team for a presentation on provider engagement followed by a 30-minute panel conversation sharing lessons from the field.

If you'd like to partner with ACDIS national on an event, email Varnavas at mvarnavas@acdis.org.

Whether you would like to work with ACDIS national on creating educational sessions for your local chapter or creating them on your own, the gift of education is one that is vital to everyone in the CDI field right now. Have topic discussions through emails or calls with your chapter members. Create standing educational webinars or Q&A sessions. Let’s all stay engaged and educated!
