Local Chapter Update: Iowa holds second meeting; dozens of events planned

CDI Strategies - Volume 9, Issue 14

A big ACDIS congratulatory shout-out to the Iowa ACDIS Chapter which held its second meeting yesterday Unity Point Health Methodist West Hospital in Des Moines hosted by Hanh Ly, MSHI, RHIA

Director of HIM/CDI at the facility. During the meeting, the gathering shared information about their own facility’s CDI efforts and program structure and discussed their plans for ICD-10 preparedness including query compliance and educational efforts. Although still in its infancy, the comradery and excitement the group embodies appears to be infectious. We’re proud of their efforts thus far and look forward to further networking efforts in the state. For additional information, email Sherry L. Morreau at smorreau@ccmhia.com.
