Local chapter update: New England chapters collaborate on fifth joint meeting with MaHIMA, NYHIMA virtually

ACDIS is once again pleased to collaborate with volunteers from across the CDI and coding communities in New England for the joint ACDIS, MaHIMA, NYHIMA CDI/Coding Summit.

Leaders from the Central New York, Hudson Valley New York, Maine, and Massachusetts ACDIS chapters have been meeting with their AHIMA component organizations for several months to determine the viability of bringing forward its annual full-day, in-person event into a virtual setting in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now in its fifth year, the team has developed an agenda offering four, free, lunch-n-learn events through the month of August. The agenda includes: 

  • A panel discussion with leadership from New York ACDIS chapters on responses to COVID-19
  • NThrive's Ginny Gleason presenting on denials and appeals
  • Ashley Chamberland, enterprise manager for ambulatory CDI at Northern Light Health in Maine regarding their outpatient CDI endeavors
  • A discussion on clinical validation. Be sure to register for each session!

August:
