Local Chapter Update: Spring sprouts new educational endeavors

Indiana
The Central Indiana ACDIS Chapter meets Wednesday, April 8, 10 a.m. to noon, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis featuring a presentation regarding hepatology. For information, contact Angela Green at agreen11@iuhealth.org.

Mississippi
The Mississippi Chapter of AHMIA (MSHIMA) CDI-focused event originally slated for March was postponed to Friday, April 10, at the Itawamba Community College auditorium in Tupelo due to inclement weather. The agenda includes:

  • CDI 101: What is it, how do I start and grow a program at my facility?
  • Query guidance: Tips for adhering to industry best practice
  • Physician engagement: Tools to ensure medical staff support

Illinois
The Northern Illinois ACDIS Chapter meets Wednesday, April 15, noon to 4 p.m., at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. The agenda includes presentations on:

  • Using Data Analytics for Improving Patient Safety/Quality and Financial Performance: Electronic Pre-Bill Hold Review of HACs and PSIs
  • Rounding your Way to Success: An Interactive Approach to CDI

New Hampshire

The Alabama ACDIS Chapter meets Friday, April 17, 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., at the Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. The agenda includes:
