Local Chapter Update: Summer events in full swing

ACDIS Director Brian Murphy and Associate Director Melissa Varnavas will head out to western Massachusetts to the town of Springfield for CDI Summit slated for Thursday, July 30, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Baystate Medical Center. The event is the brain child of ACDIS Advisory Board member and Massachusetts AHIMA Chapter President Walter Houlihan, MBA, RHIA, CCS, who reached out to ACDIS and fellow AHIMA leaders. The full-day agenda includes analysis of CDI best practices, tips on employing electronic health records in CDI review, and panel discussions on CDI in ICD-10 and effective practices. Pennsylvania/New Jersey

Greater Philadelphia/South Jersey Local Chapter ACDIS Quarterly Meeting will be held Thursday, July 30, 8-10 a.m., at Princeton Healthcare System. The agenda includes networking and discussion of ICD-10-CM/PCS preparations. Participants are encouraged to bring examples of ICD-10 queries to share. Florida
The Florida ACDIS Chapter hosts a meet and greet event Friday, July 24, 7 p.m., at the Hangar restaurant St. Petersburg, followed by a full-day event Saturday, July 25, 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg. The agenda includes:
