Local Chapter Update: Virginia, Illinois seek chapter leaders

CDI Strategies - Volume 10, Issue 6

Local chapter activities represent an integral part of ACDIS’ mission to bring together CDI professionals for networking and educational purposes. Those who volunteer to lead one of the more than 40 networking groups help create a space for that mission to take place.

Over the years, chapter leaders have gone on to write books, win awards, become program managers for multi-system CDI efforts, and serve as ACDIS Advisory Board members. They earn accolades from their chapter peers for their endeavors, but their professional rewards and further integration in association efforts often mean so much more. In short, those who serve often find opportunity for professional growth in doing so.

As local chapters begin 2016 meeting planning, many need your help. Specifically, Florida, Illinois, Central Pennsylvania, and Virginia are seeking core leadership teammates. To be a local chapter leader, volunteers should live or work within the geographic region for which they are volunteering, be an active member of ACDIS, and have attended previous local chapter events.
