Local chapter updates: Big things in store for the month of September

CDI Strategies - Volume 11, Issue 38

With the summer months swiftly behind us, it’s time to start looking toward fall for the next great local chapter events. And, it’s going to be a busy month at that. The second week of September is really when things start to ramp up. In fact, there are three large events taking place in different locations across the country on Friday, September 15.

First of all, California and Alabama both have all-day events drawing big crowds that day. Both chapters expect crowds of near a hundred or more attendees and have multiple speakers and sponsors.

Please note that the California event is sold out at 250 attendees. To download the California Chapter’s save-the-date, click here.

Also on the 15th, and also with more than 100 expected attendees, the Indiana and Kentucky Chapters join forces for the fifth annual all-day event. This year’s event happens at the Ivy Tech Conference Center, and features five speakers:

  1. Dr. William Templeton, CMO, Clark Memorial Hospital presenting, “Getting Sepsis Right”
  2. Dr. Ronald Hirsch, VP, Regulations/Education R1 Physician Advisory Services presenting, “Medicare Regulation Update:  Practical Application for CDI Professionals”
  3. Sonia Trepina, MPA, Director of Ambulatory CDI Services, Enjoin presenting, “CDI Across the Patient Care Continuum”
  4. Amber Sterling, Director CDI Auditing Services, TrustHCS presenting, “Five Pillars for Building a Successful CDI Program in Emergency Services”
  5. Fran Jurcak, VP Clinical Innovations, Iodine Software presenting, “Impacting Quality Initiatives through CDI”

Please note that the discounted price of $75 for the Indiana/Kentucky event ends tomorrow, September 1! To register, use this form. To view a detailed agenda, click here.

Later in the month, the Central New York, Colorado, and Maine Chapters all have events, too. Each of these events will be between two and four hours in length and offer a great opportunity to connect with your neighborhood ACDIS family.
