News: 2023 America’s 100 Best Hospitals list released

With the start of the new year, Healthgrades has released their 2023 America’s 100 Best Hospitals list. These hospitals are in the top 2% in the nation for exhibiting consistent clinical excellence, evaluated through patient outcomes data of 31 conditions or procedures from every U.S. hospital.

According to Healthgrades’ methodology page, “the overall performance score for each hospital is calculated using volume-weighted z-scores averaged across all complication and mortality-based cohorts.” They used MedPAR data spanning from 2019 through 2021 hospitals are ranked by how many consecutive years they’ve met these requirements as well as their volume-weighted z-score for the 2023 award year.

Below is a highlight of some of the hospitals that made the 2023 Best Hospitals list:
