CMS released its list of quality measures under consideration (MUC) in November and the National Quality Forum’s (NQF) Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) begun its annual review of the list, according to a blog post from the American Association of Professional Coders (AAPC).
The list includes 97 measures with implications across all healthcare settings and in a variety of CMS payment reform initiatives including readmission reductions, value-based purchasing, and hospital-acquired conditions. The MAP is expected to recommended measures and issue a report to CMS by February, AAPC reported.
