News: Happy Case Management Week!

Many CDI professionals come to the CDI ranks after a career in case management (CM). Many report to the CM director, or work closely with CM staff to ensure clinical documentation reflects medical necessity requirements for appropriate patient status determinations.

Just as CDI Week celebrations wouldn’t be nearly as amazing without the involvement of our friends in other departments, CDI professionals should take a moment during these last days of Case Management Week to recognize their CM counterparts. Send a kind note, stop by and say hello, and work to bridge any existing communications gaps between the departments.
