News: New vaping-related disorder code available, CDC announces

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that there is a new ICD-10-CM code-- U07.0, Vaping-related disorder—established by the World Health Organizations (WHO), effective April 1, 2020.

The CDC noted that as part of their “outreach and education efforts, [they] will continue to work closely with the industry stakeholders on the implementation of this new ICD-1-CM diagnosis code.”
The ACDIS Regulatory Committee has also provided insight on e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury for your use and reference.
