ACDIS and the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) recently published the 2026 version of Guidelines for Achieving a Compliant Query Practice, commonly referred to as the query practice brief.
This version supersedes all previous editions, including the 2022 version, and reflects standards available as of its publication date. It is an essential resource for CDI and coding professionals and for all others who participate in the query and documentation clarification process across all healthcare settings.
