Note from the ACDIS Editor: Plan your career in CDI with the first CDI Journal edition of the year!
by Jess Fluegel
Some people end up in CDI looking for a new challenge, some because they need a change of pace, while others might have shown an aptitude for documentation concerns and a helping hand guides them into the CDI world. No matter the mechanism, many professionals end up in the industry by simply taking the next step in an unknown direction.
Many strides have been made since CDI’s beginnings, but most professionals are still taking the road less traveled. And as is the case with any new endeavor, the best way to light your path is to learn from the experiences of those who have gone before you. For this first edition of the CDI Journal in 2025, we wanted to help you discern your next CDI path and choose the best next step for your personal career trajectory and interests. ACDIS members can check out the January/February edition here!
