Note from the Associate Editorial Director: What do you find most valuable about ACDIS?
In 2016, ACDIS’ members top three challenges were physician engagement, physician education, and pushback against CDI efforts from physicians. Respondents to an ACDIS membership survey at the time listed staffing retention and recruitment as their next two priorities.
These common concerns prompted ACDIS to provide more physician engagement sessions at its annual conference, dig into these topics in its CDI Journal, and set the Advisory Board to research the topic and publish white papers on productivity standards and keeping staff growing and engaged (read the papers in the Resource Library section of the website.)
Now, ACDIS needs your help once again in order to determine your priorities for 2017 and respond to your most pressing needs.
Please take a few minutes to participate in the 2017 ACDIS Membership Survey and make the most of your clinical documentation improvement professional association.
Not only are we seeking information about the type of information you want but also how you’d like to receive it and what you think about the membership benefits ACDIS offers.
In response to a question about what other publications members turned to for CDI educational needs, one CDI professional answered, “Is this a serious question? The availability of CDI related information is paltry and stale throughout the industry.” And, no, I checked, ACDIS Director Brian Murphy didn’t stuff the proverbial ballot box with that response. Among the 2016 top benefits, respondents listed:
- 52% CDI Journal
- 51% Forms & Tools Library (now the Resource Library)
- 49% CDI Strategies
- 48% Membership discounts
- 46% Quarterly Conference Calls (37% Q-Call recordings)
- 41% ACDIS Poll
We want to hear which parts of your ACDIS membership resonate with you, which parts drive you nuts, or if there’s something you wish with all your heart ACDIS could offer, something new, we want to hear about that too!
