Local chapter update: Fall is just around the corner

We are already over halfway through this whirlwind of a year. Many local chapters have had to reschedule events, change them to be virtual seminars instead of in-person, or cancel them all together. Local chapters have supported others in offering free webinars throughout the pandemic available to any local chapter members regardless of their home base.

As we continue through this year and fall approaches, the state of the country and individual states is changing on a daily basis, and the future of in-person gatherings remains unknown. Local chapters have done a fantastic job dealing with this hurdle and creating virtual meetings and events. Keep this option in mind as we continue through the rest of the year.

If you can, keep offering virtual meetings, keeping everyone at a social distance and safe. Offer your webinars to other local chapters and think ahead to any end-of-year meetings you might normally have and how they may need to change.

If you already have an event slated for the remainder of 2020 and do not see it listed below or on your local chapter page on the ACDIS website, reach out to ACDIS Associate Editor Carolyn Riel (criel@acdis.org) with your local chapter, meeting date and time, location (or if it is virtual), and a contact person, so we can help you spread the word.
