Conference corner: Three great pre-cons for physician advisors, outpatient, and coding essentials
This year, ACDIS offers its annual national conference in Orlando, Florida, May 2-5. But did you know that the fun actually starts before the opening of the conference? ACDIS is offering three pre-con events for folks to get even more out of the event and expand their knowledge further.
This year, the pre-cons offered are:
- The Physician Advisor’s Role in CDI
- Outpatient CDI Expansion: Getting Started
- Coding Essentials for Non-Coders
Each two-day pre-con starts on Sunday, May 1 and goes through May 2. These special events offer insight into specific topics, with a more intimate setting perfect for absorbing all that there is to know. Plus, attendees of each pre-con will be treated to an exclusive networking reception sponsored by Nuance on Sunday, May 1, 5-6 p.m. The reception is an opportunity to network with other attendees and speakers, discuss what you’ve learned, and share experiences, all while enjoying refreshments and light appetizers.
The Physician Advisor’s Role in CDI is the nation’s only event dedicated to the CDI physician advisor. Our most popular pre-conference event includes new guest speakers with new content from some of the best physician advisors and educators in the country.
In Outpatient CDI Expansion: Getting Started, attendees will learn about fundamental differences in coding systems, rules for applying different code sets, and documentation requirements affecting code assignment. And learn from two nationally known organizations how they brought their outpatient plans to fruition.
Designed with the CDI professional in mind, Coding Essentials for Non-Coders will arm you with critical coding skills by exploring the intricacies of accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRG assignment. This two-day preconference will equip you with the fundamental coding knowledge that you need to bolster your skillset as CDI professional. Attendees will also take home three valuable code books!
