News: Potential new ICD-10 codes from Coordination and Maintenance Committee meeting
CMS held its first biannual ICD-10 Coordination and Maintenance Committee meeting this week on March 19-20. The committee deliberated on applications for new ICD-10-PCS and ICD-10-CM code assignments which, if approved, will become effective October 1, 2024, JustCoding reported.
The recording of this virtual meeting will be posted on this page, and the deadline to submit comments for the topics addressed in this meeting is April 19. As part of the committee’s duties, ACDIS CDI Regulatory Committee members have listened in and will be reviewing these topics for possible comment submission. According to the ICD-10-PCS meeting agenda, topics of discussion included applications for:
